Kaitlin was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and currently lives in the foothils of the northeast Georgia mountains.

Her mother is an artist, graphic designer and gardener.
Her father is a photographer, musician and college professor. Kaitlin teaches photography and graphic design. She is an avid plant collector but sadly gave up the saxophone during high school.

Kaitlin's photographic work revolves around themes of transformation/manipulation. She is particularly engaged with the botanical specimen and the domestic. She works in both the fine art realm and the commercial.

Her graphic design work continually encorporates text and image (she assumes it is due to the photographic background).

Kaitlin is Assistant professor of Art at Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia (www.piedmont.edu/art). She teaches graphic design and photography on the Demorest and Athens campuses. She has previously taught in the first year photography program in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). In addition, she has also taught in the School of Design and in the New Media program at RIT.
