Does this portable photo studio work well?...?

Q: I found this portable photo studio on thinkgeek.com and I'm interested in it.

I was wondering if anybody knew if this worked well, or if it's worth $50.

A: My wife bought me one for Xmas. The supplied lights are not nearly bright enough and then the plastic housing holding the bulb melted after about an hours use.

The tent itself is nifty. Breaks down and sets up fast. The fabric is very thin...treat it carefully.

Caveat Emptor.

They are not $50, but they will last for years and provide a better controlled shooting environment.

its probably worth the 50 bucks because those portable "light tents" as they are called
probably cost about 50 bucks. the lights look quite flimsy though.

it might be a good start...I'm looking at a bunch of options....its probably better to start off with a $50 dollar set up and then say....aha...so these lights are
